Asian School of Nuclear Medicine Campus

ASNM Campus is a regional training center for general nuclear medicine as well as some specific fields located in centers of excellence designated by ASNM. The ASNM Campus is inviting young physicians, technologists, chemists, and nurses from ARCCNM countries to experience Nuclear Medicine practice.

Shanghai Campus

• Shanghai Campus is led by Prof. Gang Huang, who is also the dean of ASNM.
• Shanghai Campus comprises of training locations which are all first class hospitals in Shanghai. (Shanghai Zhongshan Hospital, Huashan Hospital, Renji Hospital, Ruijin Hospital, Xinhua Hospital, Shanghai Tenth People’s Hospital and Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital)
• Training period: One-three months which depending on the trainees’s schedule
• Number of trainees: Up to 2 trainees for each center
• Admissions Requirements:
  – Below 45 years old
  – Doctors and technologists are both acceptable
  – Degree from medical school for NM Physicians. Undergraduate degree for NM technologists.
  – Good command of written and spoken English with fluent communications
  – More than 2 years of relevant work experience in nuclear medicine
  – Recommended by local NM society

Osaka Campus
• Osaka Campus is led by Prof. Jun Hatazawa, who is also the chairman of ARCCNM.
• The Osaka University Hospital is a core medical facility for its region. In addition to providing top-quality, reliable care as an “advanced treatment hospital”, it makes contributions to the practice and development of leading-edge therapy and the training of medical personnel. In education, we intend to stress the cultivation of diverse personnel including intensely caring doctors, profoundly knowledgeable and top-level specialists, and researchers capable of pioneering leading treatments for presentation to the whole world.
• The length of the training period depends on the participants, some may have short training, and others may continue for 3 months at maximum.
• Training period: 1 week- 1 months (depending on the request)
• Number of trainees: 2 trainees at the same time
• Admissions Requirements:
  – English speaking, need recommendation letter by supervisor
  – Doctors and technologists are both acceptable
  – Degree from medical school for NM Physicians. Undergraduate degree for NM technologists
  – Chemist, Nurse, Medical Physics scientists are also accepted
• Accommodation: University Guest House is available 2000 Japanese Yen/night.

Korea Campus
• Korea Campus is led by Prof. Hee Seung Bom, who is also the President of AOFNMB.
• The ASNM Korea Campus will be operated as a Campus Union or a Consortium consist of the Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH), the Kyungpook National University Hospital (KNUH) and the Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital (CNUHH).
• Number of trainees: flexible for each center
• Admissions Requirements:
  – English speaking
  – Acceptance of doctors and technologists depends on each institute
• Length of training: More than 1 year fellowship is recommended for SNUH. Fellowships at KNUH and CNUHH are more flexible.
• Curriculum/Financial support is under contemplation.
