An international symposium on the development of neuronuclear medicine will be held in Tokyo on March 19, 2020. Neuronuclear medicine can visualize cerebral blood flow, glucose metabolism, and even molecular levels such as synaptic concentration of dopamine and amyloid deposit. Moreover, remarkable advances have been attained in the image analysis technology in neuronuclear medicine. In this symposium, experts from several Asian countries will make presentations on the development of neuronuclear medicine in the fields of dementia, movement disorders, cerebrovascular disorders, and image analysis. By exchanging information with each other, it is expected to lead to further development of nuclear medicine in Asia and Oceania. We hope many people participate in this symposium.
