A CME activity is accredited by UEMS-EACCME® if it has a high quality scientific content, if it is free of commercial bias and has an appropriate educational approach. CME accreditation granted by the UEMS-EACCME® also provides a guarantee to participants from all over the world that the content of the CME provided is of a high quality, unbiased and didactic and, for medical specialists, that this quality will be recognized in their home country (if applicable).
As you aware, The American Medical Association (AMA) has an agreement of mutual recognition of continuing medical education (CME) credit with the European Union of Medical Specialties (UEMS) and physicians (MDs, DOs or equivalent international degree) may have their EACCME European CME Credits (ECMECs) converted to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ .
This initiative is the first time that a TC related live educational event (Meeting/Workshop) is given CME accreditation. All participants who attend the meeting will receive the certificate recognized worldwide, essential for their maintenance of professional certification.
